I think the issue with Hojlund and Garnacho has been partly their attitudes.

Hojlund can be quite cocky and I think when he first came to the club, he didn’t have enough humility t     See More nd that there were players at United like Garnacho, Dalot, McTominay and Rashford who had been there for years and part of the academy partly most of them.

And then he comes in and thinks he’s at the top of the world but lacks that humility and respect probably in someways. And I think the others, I might be completely off, sort of pulled him down to earth a bit.

Remember when no one except Eriksen would celebrate his penalty with him the shootout against Ipswich was it in the cup.

Like, there’s a hierarchy at United, as there are most clubs and places, with people who’ve been their longer and waited their turn and then someone comes in with a major major price tag and isn’t really showing to be honest that he’s worth that price tag.

I think a lot of the players think that Hojlund’s skills just doesn’t warrant that price tag nor being the leading no. 9.

I do think, however, Hojlund is good enough for United. He had the physicality and the pace and he needs to improve his ball handling and heading.

He’s still young. He’s not on that much salary. But he needs to be more of a supporting striker that can come on in the second half when the defenders are worn and wreak havoc. That’s how I see him going forward.

Bring in an established and proven striker and then have him come on and start the cup games etc. in all fairness, he has improved his game just in the past four months I think. This adversity has been hard on him but he’s proven that he can take that as well. He will be alright    See Less
