Havertz is bang on average. Sometimes he pulls out good performances but it’s often going to be an average or below average performance. He had a simple assist this game, but what else did he do. Robbie is painting it up to be black and white, Goal/assist = proving everyone wrong. This is a 12 year old mindset. You cannot tell me that spending the 65 mil on someone else wouldn’t have had a better impact on our team. Havertz's non-urgency and static style has a negative impact on the fluidity and performances of other players. Proof of that is Martinelli's form. He plays much better with Jorginho/xhaka/smith row in the middle. But with Havertz he drops off.
What I really like about Havertz is his physicality and work rate. He brings a physical presence up front. What I don't like is his decision making and that he often spends too long on the ball. Overall I'm happy with him and I think he's a valuable starter for the team.
Funny because I was convinced he was gonna come good even during his bad times. He was always a quality player. It was clear he was being poorly managed and no surprise being under 4 different managers and being abused by chelsea fans
