That 2008-2012 Spain team in the actual tournaments were beatable and looked vulnerable throughout, won games they weren't better team.
Those Spain teams were deep & they took there opportunities.
In the friendlies & qualifiers they dominated & played there best football.
In the actual tournament, particularly the knockout stage they got the job done & had luck on there side.
Paraguay in 2010 World Cup quarter final, missed a penalty v Spain & then saw a Spain effort come off the post into David Villa path who then hit both posts & in to score the 85th min winner.
That Spain team in the group performances wasn't great & did not look like the tournament winners. They lost to Switzerland, barely beat 10 men Chile who were down 10 men early in a must win.
Had Spain not won that final group game v Chile they would have got grouped.
But they got the job done, they then got lucky in the final v Netherlands with Robben having the 2 best chances of the 90 with 2 late chances through on goal to win the World Cup including a 1 on 1 which he had so much time & space to score the winner, instead he hits Casillas foot leading to extra time.
In 2008 Euro's they just about beat Italy on pens as a team with not great record on pens & took there chance in the final v Germany.
In 2012 Euro's similar route, won the penalties v Portugal to go to the final.
That 2012 Italy final was the anomaly big tournament performance from Spain.
Usually they dominate possesion, score the 1 chance, which can come from anyone to win games.
That 2010 World cup they scored 7 goals.
This Spain Euro side was very dynamic, dangerous from wide area's, dominated the big teams.
Won all 7 games, best team in all 7 games, hard road to the trophy, no lucky wins.
They showed variety of ways to play with or without the ball.
At times gave up the ball, killed teams in transition with pace, other times dominated teams and suffocated teams with possesion.
This Spain team of course had less pressure on them compared to the 2010 team who only cared about getting the job done so did at times look vulnerable but overcame pressure.
The 2008 Euro win created pressure for that 2010 World cup.
This Spain team alot more complete, better profile in attack + midfield then 2008 + 2010 team.
The wingers are more dynamic with both having pace, but can link play, beat players 1 v 1, great crossers, Spain having many crash the box.
Rodri is more complete player then Busquets (not better) & Busquets not part of that 2008 Euro team it was Senna.
Spain use to play midfielders outwide like Iniesta, Silva.
Yamal+Williams are better wingers.
This Spain side is build on Rodri in midfield and the 2 wingers.
Its not trying to fit superstars in 1 team at the cost of attacking fluency & balance.
This Spain side was not just about getting the job done.
Its was them playing an agressive, dynamic style and winning games that way.
They weren't afraid of giving up chances because they believed they were better & played with freedom.
I think they are definitely one of the most complete national teams currently. I can't say "ever" (especially for Spain) because that Spain team from about 2008-2012 existed

You wrong
Less prolific players, and yes, somehow still had a better tournament than the golden era of Spain

They lost at Hampden Park Glasgow
Argentina played in the euros?
No Brazil 2002.
